Jarvis Training Weekend

Last weekend (8th & 9th Nov) saw British trials champion Graham Jarvis running another training weekend at David Yeaman's Glenlomond venue.

David a Dunfermline & District member also organised the weekend and catered for the trainees as well as entertaining Graham for the weekend. So many thanks David.

Both days were fully booked with many Dunfermline members present. Graham took it easy early on with some twists and turns on a grassy slope. Club members Lee Collins, John Smith and Derek Agnew all looked good in between the flags. Lee was steadiest though and looks set to challenge for clubman honours very shortly.

Expert riders Craig Houston and Lee Shankie were also present with Graham testing them on the rocks high up the hillside. Craig looked superb and cleaned some very tricky sections with a bit of advice. Lee who is a superb technical rider had flashes of brilliance but couldn't quite match Craig on the slippy rocks.

Club members Roy Scott, Gordon Cameron, David Yeaman and Grant Dempster were all trying sections well out there comfort zone and did well to stay in one piece. Newcomer Cam Dunn also did well being thrown in at the deep end. Veteran Ian Shankie seems to think he is still eighteen taking on Graham's hard route option often with dramatic results but full marks for effort.

I can't comment of Sunday's session but by all accounts it went just aswell.

Finally I'm sure all who attended would like to thank Graham for coming up and to say that no one will mention the crash.

ps- Our Norman Kerr nearly stayed to the end but got called away last thing, he was trying hard though.
